Other Families

We have tried to get information on all the first families to settle in the valley, but in some instances information was not available. We should like to have included in our history, an Interview with Mrs. Becker, who is a well-beloved pioneer of our valley, but she was ill and in the hospital, so we could not do it. If any other families have been omitted, it is because we could not secure the information in the limited time we had.

    Just found this page 6-20-2012
I am the daughter of Miles and Dorothy Becker and grand-daughter of Leota Todd Becker. I was born in 1935 in Grangeville. We moved to Meadows in the early 1940s and lived there several years before returning to Grangeville. I married John Shearer in 1958. He passed away in 1985. I was surprised to find Roger Becker (Unrelated to our family) and remarried in 1988. Thus, I became Bonita Becker-Shearer-Becker to the delight of many of my childhood friends that I still have contact with.
I have been interested in the area history for many years and have, with the cooperation of my sister and cousins, collected some of our family history. I always enjoy finding more historical information on Adams and Idaho County. This site has provided a few more details that I’m excited to find. I’m curious as to who assembled this information.
